He always liked the sound of rain.
It drowned out the voices of the ghosts in his house.

Being deaf, her world was silent.
She only heard voices when she visited the old cemetery alone.

Computer Lab Near the Bookmark

Due to the Advisement & Transition Construction Project that is underway, the Computer Lab located near the Bookmark Cafe on the first floor of Memorial Library is closed.

We apologize for the inconvenience but would like to remind students that laptops are available for library use from the Help Center Desk in the Lobby.

Two-Sentence Horror Story Contest

image of 2 glowing Jack O'LanternsOctober is the month for horror! Memorial Library and The Writing Center are hosting a two-sentence horror story contest to celebrate. All SUNY Cortland students are welcome to participate. Entries must be submitted online by Friday, 10/14 at https://forms.office.com/r/3dX74D4uhy. Story submissions must be original and two sentences long.

The first place winner will receive a Hocus Pocus board game. Three lucky winners will have their stories presented in the Digital Commons institutional repository (https://digitalcommons.cortland.edu/) and in Library social media (Facebook and Instagram @sunycortlandmemoriallibrary).
