Picking Up Books at Memorial Library

Have you requested a book to be picked up at Memorial Library?

Patrons can view the status of pick-up requests in their library card/account. Go to the Library tab in myRedDragon and scroll down to the lower right side of the page and click on “Your Library Account”. If you have ONESearch opened, you can also get there by clicking on your name in the upper right corner.

After you click your name, you can click on “my requests” to view both ILL and pick-up requests, as well as the status. When a pick-up request is pending, you will see that status in the account.

Requesting a Library Pickup

While the library is open, you may still request a pickup for Memorial Library books.

We will retrieve the book(s) for you, notify you when they are ready, and you will be able to pick them up at the front desk.

  1. Find a book using OneSearch on the Library Tab in myRedDragon.
  2. Click on Check Shelf
  3. Click on Request.
  4. Fill out the form.
  5. Show your Cortland ID at the front desk to pick up your book(s).

Curbside Pickup for Library Material

While the building is currently closed, SUNY Cortland’s Memorial Library is providing curbside service to assist the campus community to safely access materials. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to request materials in the Library’s physical collection and through Interlibrary Loan.

An appointment will be set for a socially distant pickup. Items processed through curbside pickup will be checked out to patrons when they are picked up. Items from the library’s physical collection that are not picked up within seven days of scheduled pickup will be returned, and the hold on these items will be cancelled.

Please see the guide for more information on requesting items.
