We would like to reintroduce Kanopy, a Netflix-like video streaming service. It can be found by visiting the Library tab in myRedDragon. By clicking the Library Databases tab, you will find Kanopy in the list of databases alphabetical by title. You can also click here to start watching: http://cortland.kanopystreaming.com/
Kanopy offers a broad selection of over 26,000 streaming films, documentaries and training covering various educational topics and feature films: business, the arts, training, foreign language films, health sciences, media and communication, natural sciences, social sciences, teacher education and more.
Featured producers in Kanopy’s collection include Criterion Collection, PBS, California Newsreel, Kino Lorber, First Run Features, BBC, Roland Collection, MVD, Seventh Art, Psychotherapy. net, Symptom, Media, Education Foundation, and hundreds of other leading producers.
The films can be watched from anywhere, anytime by all students, faculty, and staff. The films have full public performance rights (as long as groups do not charge admission for showing the film) and have unlimited simultaneous use.
In addition to being able to browse the Kanopy website, records for individual films will soon begin appearing our library discovery tool.
If there is a film you would be interested to have available on Kanopy, please contact us. Kanopy is always looking to expand its collections and they will try to have it added if possible.
