Fun Distraction: Audiobooks

Images related to audiobooks

So you like to read but LOVE to listen … try an AUDIOBOOK on the Libby app using your public library card. Psst … It’s completely FREE!!!

𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒑 1️⃣ Download the free Libby app on your device then log in to Libby using your local public library card. If you do not have a public library card, sign up at the Cortland Free Library. Any SUNY Cortland student can sign up for free with their Student ID card.

𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒑 2️⃣ Decide what to read … maybe you know or perhaps you want to visit https://goodreads.com for suggestions. The Libby has books organized by genre so you can search for “Mysteries” for example.

𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒑 3️⃣ When searching in Libby set the format to “audiobooks.”

𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒑 4️⃣ Find a book you like? Check it out! (Remember if someone is using that book right now place it on hold so you can check it out later and then look for a different book to check out now.)

𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒑 5️⃣ Visit your Libby shelf and begin listening.

Listen while you walk, wait for the bus, work out at the gym, in between classes, fold your laundry, in your car, or anywhere.

If you want some audiobook recommendations, here is an article from Buzzfeed …
