Memorial Library and The Writing Center hosted a two-sentence horror story contest to celebrate Halloween. All SUNY Cortland students were welcome to participate. Entries needed to be submitted online by Sunday, 10/22 and story submissions had to be original and two sentences long.

After a global pandemic, World War III, Civil War 2, numerous riots, rebellions and society eating itself; I was able to finally close my eyes after a long life and give into death’s embrace.

October is the month for horror! Memorial Library and The Writing Center are hosting a two-sentence horror story contest to celebrate. All SUNY Cortland students are welcome to participate. The first place winner will receive a Zombie Kittens board game. Three lucky winners will have their stories presented in the Digital Commons institutional repository (https://digitalcommons.cortland.edu/) and in Library social media (Facebook and Instagram @sunycortlandmemoriallibrary).

Celebrate Banned Books Week by reading a book “they” don’t want you to read!
