Did you know that Research Help is available in the main lobby of the library? Tackle your research with a librarian, who can help you find, access, or cite sources for your paper. Librarians can also help you evaluate whether the sources you have found would be suitable for your paper.
For quick questions, you can visit the Library tab of myRedDragon to chat 24/7 with a librarian, or click the Ask a Librarian dragon button in many of our databases.
You can also Make a Research Help Appointment with a librarian that specializes in your area of study if you need specialized or more extensive help.

Faculty/Staff Equipment Loans
Faculty & Staff: A variety of equipment can be loaned out from The Help Center in Memorial Library, including laptops, projectors, PA systems, webcams, and microphones. Equipment can be requested by faculty members or by staff members from the library by completing a Faculty/Staff Equipment Loan form, which can be found in the Tech Help tab in MyRedDragon or by clicking on this link.

WEPA Account
WEPA is the printing service that is used by SUNY Cortland students. WEPA accounts are automatically generated for new students, and students who upload documents to the WEPA cloud can then print those documents from any WEPA kiosk on the campus. Funds can be added to WEPA accounts electronically by navigating to the WEPA website, while print cards for the WEPA kiosks can be purchased from the library.

The Archives
Wondering about SUNY Cortland’s history? The Archives in Memorial Library is open by appointment! It is home to collections of photographs, the campus yearbook Didascaleion (also called the ‘Did’), and many more books and manuscripts that tell SUNY Cortland’s story.
The Archives is located on the 3rd Floor B-side of the Memorial Library.

Reserve a Group Study Room
To reserve one of the Library’s Group Study Rooms and review the terms and conditions visit https://cortland.libcal.com/reserve/groupstudyrooms
The Memorial Library has 3 study rooms that can hold 2 people and 6 study rooms that can hold larger groups of 4+. You need to make a reservation to sign out a key. Make your reservations early to ensure you get the room you want when you need it.
Note: The Library’s group study rooms are only available for check out to current students.

ILL for Online Graduate Students
If you are an Online Masters Student then you can request to have books sent to you, but be aware that this will probably add one to two weeks to the time it takes to get your materials. You may not be able to renew the books, depending on who provides them.
Before doing so, please be sure you have exhausted all possible alternatives (see the options listed in Library Resources outside of Memorial Library and have consulted with your Advisor as well as meet with your Library Liaison to review options. Following the sequence provided above will ensure that getting the material needed will be a smooth and quick process.
If you have completed the above steps, you can proceed to fill out the form to set up the request process. Do not submit requests until you hear back from the Interlibrary Loan Department that the setup is complete.
Your ILLiad Account
For those of you who use Interlibrary Loan, please be aware that ILLiad credentials now need to be verified annually for requests to be processed. If you haven’t already done so, please sign into your ILLiad account now to update/verify your information (make sure your department is correct).
Borrowing Items from Other Libraries
If our library doesn’t have what you need, it is likely that the item can be borrowed from another library at no cost to you. Articles are usually turned around within 24-48 hours, books usually take about 2 weeks. For further information on this service, see our Interlibrary Loan FAQs.

Antiracist Books for Teachers (and Everyone Else) Display
In celebration of Black History Month, there will be two book displays in Memorial Library for everyone to check out.
One display focuses on books dedicated to learning about race and racial justice.
A second display focuses on children’s picture books for and representing Black American and Black-Diasporic lives, histories, and experiences. This display will be located in the Teaching Materials Center.
The book displays will appear throughout the month of February. Ask a librarian if you are interested in using one of these books!
