Pylaisiella selwynii, (Kindb.) H.A. Crum, Steere & L.E. Anderson
Pylaisiella selwynii is a pleurocarpous moss which grows on hardwoods such as apple trees. Leaves are lanceolate and curled over at the tip of the branches. Moss is a brownish green to green in short dense mats. Mature capsules are an oblong cylindrical shape, with peristome teeth facing inwards. Stem grows horizontally with short vertical branches.
