Weissia controversa Hedw.

Weissia controversa are generally found on thin layers of soil over rocks or just on soil. Leaves are typically 1-2 mm long, lanceolate, when wet are folded out and slightly keeled to cup shaped with a sharp point. When dry, leaves are contorted and curl up. capsules are erect often with a calyptra.
