Hypnum lindbergii, Mitt.
Hypnum lindbergii is a pleurocarpous moss which grows in fields among grasses, in forest, on soil or logs. The moss is irregularly branched (Images 3-5) with leaves that lack a costa and are falcate-secund. The leaf tips will generally point in the same direction around the stem. The leaves curl at the tip of branches giving off a shiny appearance. stems are generally green to brown but may appear with a reddish tint.
