Hygroamblystegium fluviatile (Hedw.) Loeske
Hygroamblystegium fluviatile can be found attached to rocks submerged in flowing water. The branches grown are long compared to most other mosses. The older growth sections are often lacking leaves instead only the costas are left attached. Leaves are ovate with a thick costa and are generally semi-keeled or rounded into a cup like structure.
