Ditrichum pallidum (Hedw.) Hampe

Ditrichum pallidum is a light green moss which can often be found in carpet like tufts on thin layers of soil over rocks. The leaves when dry curl up slightly and become more fragile. When wet the leaves spread out from the stem.  The moss is generally less then 1 cm tall.
