Dicranum viride (Sull. & Lesq.) Lindb.
Dicranum viride grows upright with a reddish stem that has paraphyllia. The leaves are lanceolate, but can often be quite fragile and missing the tips of the leaves. When dry the leaves generally curl upwards, and when wet they fold out in different directions and are keeled. It can generally be found growing on decaying logs or tree bases.
