Dicranum polysetum Sw.

Dicranum polysetum  can often be found growing on soil.  The stems are often coated in brown fuzz. When the leaves are wet they spread out from the stem in different directions. The moss’s most notable feature is the fact that multiple capsules arise from the same moss stem.
