Frullania eboracensis is a leafy liverwort which grows on the bark of trees, The leaves when dry appear to be blackish and are held tightly togeather. The Elators of the plant are exposed by 4 opening valves that appear to have hair like structures at the tip. The leaves apexs are rounded and appear to be single lobed, due to the fact the underlobe is smaller and hidden by the upper lobe
