Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) Changes Happening this Summer

Interlibrary Loan from SUNY Cortland announcing ILLiad Changes

ILLiad Changes Happening this Summer
During the week of May 17th, Memorial Library plans to implement access to ILLiad via EZproxy which will allow users to automatically log in to ILLiad using their myRedDragon credentials and not create new usernames/passwords for ILLiad. Access to ILLiad will be intermittent on May 17th.

Why are we making this change?
We hope that our adoption of the myRedDragon logon will make it easier for you to successfully access your ILLiad account. Your interlibrary loan history remains available and is unaffected by this revision to your username.

The advantage of this is that patrons will use their myRedDragon usernames and passwords for ILLiad, E-mail, Blackboard, etc.

What will users see that’s different?
• If you are already logged in to myRedDragon, and your username/password are the same as your myRedDragon credentials, it will pass that information through to ILLiad and you will not be asked to login again.
• If you are not logged in to myRedDragon, you will be asked to login using the same login screen that you use for myRedDragon.
• New users will still have to enter everything but the username and password.
• Links to ILLiad will be updated on Monday and Tuesday, but will redirect the users until those changes take effect. If you have ILLiad bookmarked, you should update your bookmarks.
• Later this summer, we will turn on a feature which will require users to verify their contact information on an annual basis.

What if my username and password don’t match myRedDragon username and password?
Please contact the ILL department at interlibraryloan@cortland.edu to set up your new username and password. User history will not be lost in this case.

What if I have problems using ILLiad?
The Firefox browser is recommended as it allows the credentials to pass properly, whereas Chrome, Edge and Safari are not always as successful. Note that browsers update frequently, and this is always subject to change.

If you have questions, concerns or issues with ILLiad, including your username and password, please report them using the Interlibrary Loan Issues form
