Autograph books became popular before the pre-internet era as a way to collect meaningful notes from friends, classmates, and loved ones. Unlike modern yearbooks these books were kept and actively used over the course of time as new entries were added, gradually filling the book with signatures, poems, personal reflections and much more.
From the 19th century, this autograph book has been signed during the year 1862. There are 25 signatures in this book, with one of them possibly being the owners. It’s unclear whether or not the suspected owner is the owner due to the fact they signed their name the same way every other signature in the book was signed.
The book is in relatively adequate condition with minor damage to the spine, the rest of the cover and the pages are still held together well.
