The Buckinghams

Chicago’s premier pop band formed in 1965. The Buckinghams played Cortland in March of 1968, coming off their first charted hit “Kind Of A Drag” released the year before. Although they had several major hits, sold millions of singles and voted “the most listened to band” in 1967, by the end of 1968, their success waned, and the band broke up by 1970. The band reformed with several iterations over the years and a few of the original members are still performing as part of various Oldies Tours and Cruises.
