One of the most successful soft rock duos of the 1970’s, Jim Seals and Dash Crofts formed in 1969. They first met in 1958 and played in a number of bands including The Champs made up of West Coast session men. They joined the band after their hit “Tequila” along with Glen Campbell. Without success on their own, they formed their own self-sufficient musical duo…Seals played guitar, sax and fiddle and Crofts played drums, mandolin, keyboards and guitar. The new band paid off giving them a string of Top 10 hits in 1972 and 1973. England Dan and John Ford Coley (“I’d Really Love To See You Tonight”) opened for Seals and Crofts at the Lusk Field House…it was a family affair…England Dan Seals was Jim Seal’s brother.
