As part of the Musical Legacy Commemorative Project and SUNY Cortland’s Sesquicentennial celebration, a tribute was paid toward the great performances that played at Cortland from the 1960’s to the 1990’s. Scott Oldfield 06’, professor in the art and art history department, sculptured a series of musical instruments using copper and stainless steel. These are complimented with LED lighting as seen in the photograph below. The sculptures were unveiled on July 13, 2019 during Alumni Reunion. They remain as part of a permanent display in Corey Union. The video below was taken during the commemoration ceremony.
