At this semesterly event, you can make progress on a writing project with one-on-one support from the Writing Center and the library. We’ll give you the time, space, and support for research and writing, and there will be pizza. Whether you’ve procrastinated or you’re inches from the finish line, we will help you get your writing closer to done.

Two-Sentence Horror Story Contest
Two-Sentence Horror Story Contest
October is the month for horror! Memorial Library and The Writing Center are hosting a two-sentence horror story contest to celebrate. All SUNY Cortland students are welcome to participate. Entries must be submitted online by Friday, 10/14 at https://forms.office.com/r/3dX74D4uhy. Story submissions must be original and two sentences long.
The first place winner will receive a Hocus Pocus board game. Three lucky winners will have their stories presented in the Digital Commons institutional repository (https://digitalcommons.cortland.edu/) and in Library social media (Facebook and Instagram @sunycortlandmemoriallibrary).

You’ll meet a writing goal through a mix of focused time for research and writing with fun breaks, and we’ll send you home with pizza. Whether you’ve procrastinated or you’re inches from the finish line, we will help you get your writing closer to done.
