Library Survey Fitbit Winner

fitbitMemorial Library would like to extend thanks to all students who participated in our survey.  Megan Swanson was the lucky winner of a Fitbit Flex, which was provided by the Friends of the Library.

We hope that in addition to raising our awareness of students’ research needs, that the survey also raised students’ awareness of the Research Help services available to them.  As we head into the second half of the semester, we would like to encourage students to seek help when needed.  Librarians can help you:  narrow your research topic, develop search strategies, identify and access resources, cite sources, and learn to use citation managers and other research tools.

Students can request one-on-one Research Help appointments with a librarian that specializes in their field of study.  Students can also drop by the Research Help Desk in the main lobby of Memorial Library, contact a librarian by phone (call 607-753-2590 or text 607-341-7883), or email us at research@cortland.edu.  Chat is also available in any library resource with the green “Click to Ask a Librarian” button.

TAKE OUR SURVEY!

survey imageMemorial Library likes your input! We would like students’ feedback about their research habits and needs, as well as their opinions on library services. This is a great opportunity to make yourself heard and even create change. Students completing the entire survey and providing contact info will be entered into a drawing to win a Fitbit!

The survey will be available at bit.ly/1OeuWqY from 9/29 until 10/16.  Look for an email from the library with the link, as well.  We look forward to hearing from you!
