This folio, which is the term for pages in the manuscript, is from the Shahnama (Book of Kings) of Shah Tahmasp. This manuscript was created during the Safavid dynasty, an empire in Iran, used to recount Iran’s history, combining myth, legend, and historical facts, focusing on kings and heroes of that land. The source is a book made out of Opaque watercolor, ink, silver, and gold on paper.
