The source here is a room called the Damascus Room which was used as a residential winter reception chamber, which is a specific type of room found in the colder climates of the Ottoman Empire. This room was normal to have if you were wealthy, and this room specifically had poetry inscribed on its walls indicating that the patron was Muslim. The room is made out of Wood (poplar) with gesso relief, gold, and tin leaf, glazes, and paint; wood (cypress, poplar, and mulberry), mother-of-pearl, marble and other stones, stucco with glass, plaster ceramic tiles, iron, brass.
