Offering parents a firsthand look at what makes Cortland home for their kids, from early morning fitness to late night laughs, there\u2019s something for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Friday<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>6:00 AM \u2013 Midnight<\/strong>: The Student Life Center (SLC) is open. Parents are welcome to use the fitness center, pool, track, and workout equipment. Check in at the front desk as a parent of a SUNY Cortland student, and complete the guest waiver.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>9:00 AM \u2013 6:00 PM<\/strong>: College Bookstore in Neubig Hall opens its doors. Great time to buy Cortland apparel, school supplies, or souvenirs.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>10:00 AM \u2013 8:00 PM<\/strong>: Dowd Gallery in the Fine Arts Center offers free admission. Perfect for a calm afternoon stroll through selected campus art.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>4:00 \u2013 7:00 PM<\/strong>: Check-In at Corey Union Lobby. Parents can pick up their \u201cFamily Weekend Packet\u201d including pre-paid tickets and an updated schedule.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>6:30 PM<\/strong>: Women\u2019s Volleyball vs. Ithaca at Park Center, Corey Gymnasium. A spirited match and free admission.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7:00 PM<\/strong>: Student Activities Board Comedy Night, at the Function Room in Corey Union. Free appetizers and beverages while comedians Ryan Kelly and Dewayne White take over the stage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Saturday<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>8:00 AM \u2013 Midnight<\/strong>: SLC open for fitness, pool, track, etc.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>9:00 \u2013 11:00 AM<\/strong>: Additional Check-In opportunity.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>9:00 AM \u2013 6:00 PM<\/strong>: Bookstore hours continue.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>11:00 AM<\/strong>: Women\u2019s Volleyball vs. Stevens.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>11:00 AM<\/strong>: Presidents\u2019 Brunch in the Corey Union Function Room. University  President Erik J. Bitterbaum and Student Government President Parker Arenas will give a speech, followed by performances by a cappella groups. Brunch includes scrambled eggs, home fries, French toast, fruit, scones, bacon, mini cannoli, etc. <em>Advance registration required<\/em>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1:00 PM<\/strong>: Big lineup of sports: Football vs. Alfred University (Stadium Complex, Grady Field), Men\u2019s Soccer vs. Morrisville (Holloway Field), Women\u2019s Ice Hockey exhibition vs. Nazareth (Park Center Alumni Arena).<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2:00 \u2013 5:00 PM<\/strong>: Beak &amp; Skiff Apple Orchard is open for apple picking. Plan for travel time (short drive from campus).<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3:00 PM<\/strong>: Women\u2019s Volleyball versus Bard.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3:00 \u2013 5:00 PM<\/strong>: Planetarium shows in Bowers Hall. Fast-paced trivia with multiple rounds, covering topics from movies to history.
