Playboi Carti\u2019s latest album,\u00a0I AM MUSIC<\/em>, is exactly what you\u2019d expect from him – loud, chaotic, and impossible to ignore. The Atlanta rapper doesn\u2019t care about playing it safe, and that\u2019s what makes this project so exciting. While the whole album is packed with 30 songs plus a deluxe album, three tracks stand out as clear favorites to me:\u00a0“Trim,” “Evil Jordan,” and “I Rather Lie.”\u00a0These songs prove why Carti is still one of the most unique voices in the genre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Trim” featuring Future, is the kind of track that gets stuck in your head after one listen thanks to the guest’s deep voice. The beat is simple but hard-hitting, with Carti\u2019s signature ad-libs and repetitive flows making it instantly addictive. It\u2019s not a lyrical masterpiece, but that\u2019s not the point – Carti turns simplicity into something hypnotic, and it works perfectly. Future’s parts also make the track one of the best if not the best on the album.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then there\u2019s “Evil Jordan,” which takes the energy to another level thanks to Carti’s great solo performance. The beat is aggressive, with sharp synths and bass that feel like they\u2019re trying to knock your speakers out.
