It\u2019s after the holidays so the pressure\u2019s off, and Valentine\u2019s day is added to the mix for a perfect casual comeback. Some groups release some great bops around this time, while others drop lovey-dovey songs all year round. As their first Korean debut, this song screams cute. The name is a play on the words &#8220;heart&#8221; and \u201cTetris\u201d. Just like the classic game, this song is about finding the perfect match to your heart. Hence the name, the song has a bit of a retro vibe. I absolutely love the tutting all throughout the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/VoseEPuu31U?si=L54d9GjAuFZ4wGBR\">choreography<\/a>. There were several parts where they symbolized Tetris blocks falling into place. Felix of Stray Kids is the featured love interest, although the ending of <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/gRfDY9WrGwk?si=IWOBsIsKM9iTrX9H\">the video<\/a> has a bit of a twist. Definitely don&#8217;t skip out on this one!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3.<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/07hKkdYLE3brEV4WelMT7z?si=976cc2290656481e\"> CUPID &#8211; KARA<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not to be confused with &#8220;Cupid&#8221; by FIFTY FIFTY, this Cupid is the OG. Throwing it back a bit, the second-gen group KARA released <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/07hKkdYLE3brEV4WelMT7z?si=976cc2290656481e\">\u201cCUPID\u201d<\/a> in 2015. It\u2019s such an underrated song. The chorus is so colorful and the vocals fit so well with the instrumental. Fans criticized the song for the simple choreography, but I think it fits great. Sometimes less is more. Choreographically and vocally, it\u2019s such an effortless song. KARA is an overwhelming group to get into for many reasons, but this is a great song to start your journey. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/38xYeot-ciM?si=1KYXXh0cvLTTJHu7\">music video<\/a>, the six girls are living in a \u201cLoveless Society\u201d. In a gray dystopia they try to survive life in the office and at home. Eventually they\u2019re able to express their passionate attitude and bring some life to their coworkers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a chill yet catchy pop song. I really like Wonyoung\u2019s voice in the choruses, her parts specifically. The chorus samples a piece of the melody from \u201cTom\u2019s Diner\u201d by Suzanne Vega, which you may recognize in \u201cCenturies\u201d by Fall Out Boy. The sample itself fits but I know that IVE can make good songs with or without samples. Regardless, it\u2019s a great February track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/2gYj9lubBorOPIVWsTXugG?si=ff350cc1ce114eee\">After Like &#8211; IVE<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re on TikTok, you may have heard this song across a number of memes. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SBgUMmIpow0\">Lisa Rinna M&amp;M meme <\/a>has made this song a staple in TikTok culture. The aesthetic of the music video is so good, with each girl having her own theme and color. But after said flop, they rose to the top. It\u2019s cute, everything\u2019s fluffy, and it\u2019s so cozy. The girls are in the city when a crystal heart appears and send them into a labyrinth. Maybe to say that they\u2019ve found some clarity but haven\u2019t quite escaped the curiosity, intrigue, and giddiness that love can bring. At the end, a giant Yeseo picks up a mini Chaehyun and eats her, almost like a cat-and-mouse situation. It\u2019s a peak STAYC song and overwhelmingly cute. The concept is somewhat vague, but essentially it\u2019s about having an inner \u201cteddy bear\u201d that\u2019s a sense of comfort and support, and that will stick with you during tough times. The video is full of pink, stuffed animals, and all things cute. Aesthetic-aside, it\u2019s the first time J had long hair which was very long-awaited. It\u2019s also the first time Seeun got to sing in the chorus.
