This year has been filled with many memorable moments and events for students here at SUNY Cortland and it doesn\u2019t look to be slowing down in the slightest. With Cortland\u2019s football team advancing to the Final Four, students here at Cortland are looking to keep their luck going into finals week. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you have turned in your final assignments, and finished those final exams, you will be happy to know that you will not have to walk up Neubig Hill, wait in line at Bistro, or wait 15 minutes for the next bench to open up in the SLC, for over a month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the Holiday season right around the corner, it\u2019s getting to the time when we must think about our resolutions for the new year as well. New Year\u2019s resolutions hold a lot of value for a lot of people and can be used as a fresh start and help with personal growth. Setting intentions for the new year can help you set your mind straight and have a framework for your goals. Whether your goals are getting that higher GPA or attaining your dream body, the choice is all yours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was able to ask a few students around campus what they were planning on doing during the Holiday break and if they had any New Year\u2019s resolutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior Nick Griffin is always excited to go home for the holidays and see his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cChristmas time is my favorite time of the year. I get to spend a lot of time with my family and friends and enjoy the break. A month off of classes also isn\u2019t bad. But I need to get back to you on those resolutions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Junior Seth McCarthy loves the holidays, but New Year\u2019s is a tad ahead of his list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI love the holidays, but New Year\u2019s has always been my favorite. I feel like it\u2019s a reset for everyone. A chance for everyone to improve on themselves and get better.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior Cam Tomassone chimed in on his future plans over the holiday break. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m actually going to Aruba with my family for the holidays and we will be there for the new year as well. I love the time spent with my family every holiday season. I just hope that I stay true to my resolutions this year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I feel the same way about resolutions this year. Let\u2019s hope we can stay on track and remember why we started this time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t forget to buy your parents and loved ones a nice, sentimental gift, because they love and do everything for you! You must reciprocate that and show how much you care. Don\u2019t be afraid to spend a little extra as well. And remember to stay true to your resolutions all the way through. Or for however long you can. I know I\u2019ve had my fair share of unfinished resolutions, but try your hardest. And remember to have fun during this holiday season and bring positive and constructive energy into the new year!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
