<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nThis year’s Family weekend was October 6th<\/sup>-8th<\/sup> 2023. Family Weekend in Cortland has a variety of activities planned for everyone to enjoy. Some of the activities included campus tours, sporting events, live performances, workshops, and family-friendly games. It is a fantastic opportunity to bond with your loved ones and create lasting memories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Several sporting events happened during Family Weekend in Cortland. SUNY Cortland’s football team won 56-3\u00a0against Utica. Football games are always exciting at the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex. It is a wonderful way to cheer on the team and enjoy the energetic atmosphere! Apart from football, many other sporting events happened during Family Weekend in Cortland. Women’s club field hockey played Colgate and women’s soccer played Geneseo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Aside from sports there were many other activities to participate in such as the presidents BBQ with SUNY Cortland’s President Erik J. Bitterbaum and Joe Mascetta, Student Government President family trivia. The campus and surrounding Cortland area were packed with students and their families exploring. Parents Weekend is a special time for families to come together and experience college life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n An important thing to know about going into parents’ weekend is to have fun and enjoy it! For next year’s parents weekend here are a few tips to make the most of it:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Plan ahead<\/strong>: Check the schedule of events and plan which activities you want to attend.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Connect with other parents and students<\/strong>: Take the opportunity to meet and connect with other parents and students. It is a great way to share experiences and build a network or a new friend.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. Attend informative sessions<\/strong>: Take advantage of sessions that provide insights into SUNY Cortland’s\u00a0academic programs, campus resources, and support services.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4. Explore campus<\/strong>: Take a campus tour, visit the library, or check out the student life center. Get a feel for the campus and the facilities available to students.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5.
