There is an overwhelming amount of new music released every single day (especially on New Music Fridays.) It\u2019s nearly impossible to wade through all the new albums and hit songs to get to the good stuff. So, here is a roundup of the best new stuff I\u2019ve heard recently<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did you know that there\u2019s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd – <\/strong>Lana Del Rey<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new album from indie pop-rock sensation Lana Del Rey may very well be her best work yet. Del Rey\u2019s ninth album is composed of 16 tracks and is a loud interruption to the music industry. \u201cA&W\u201d is, in my opinion, the clear standout of the album. If you\u2019re only going to listen to one song, have it be that one. \u201cCandy Necklace (feat. John Batiste)\u201d and \u201cMargaret (feat. Bleachers)\u201d are also great listens with intricate rhythms and melodies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Red Moon in Venus – <\/strong>Kali Uchis<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her third studio album, breakout singer Kali Uchis puts a trance on her audience. Since the start of her career, Uchis has been redefining the Latin pop genre and does so by perfecting the blend between pop and R&B. Red Moon in Venus <\/em>is a showcase of the divine feminine and the strength of love. My top tracks are \u201cMoonlight,\u201d \u201cWorth the Wait (feat. Omar Apollo),\u201d and \u201cDeserve Me (with Summer Walker).\u201d These 15 songs highlight love being used for good and evil, serenading and surrounding the listeners with wonderfully produced tracks.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You – <\/strong>Big Thief<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though it\u2019s not the most recent album on this list, when it was released it was severely underrated. This is album number 5 for Big Thief, formulated into an epic 20-tracks of the Brooklyn band chasing all their dreams and ambitions. If you don\u2019t have the time for 20 songs, definitely check out \u201cCertainty,\u201d \u201cSimulation Swarm,\u201d and \u201cPromise Is a Pendulum.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AURORA <\/strong>– Daisy Jones & The Six<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daisy Jones & The Six is a fictional band with a very real album. A book adapted into a TV series, Daisy Jones & The Six emulated 70s rock music from legends like Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles. Though the album doesn\u2019t outdo the originals of 70s music, it does a great job of echoing and continuing the genre. The magnum opus of the work is \u201cLook At Us Now (Honeycomb)\u201d with other strong contenders of \u201cKill You To Try\u201d and \u201cRegret Me.\u201d The Chick’s previous producer Blake Mills worked with songwriters of this generation like Marcus Mumford and Phoebe Bridgers to tailor modern lyrics to transport listeners to the 70s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
