She just dropped her new album, Dandelion, and honestly? It’s been on repeat for me since the second it dropped. In a genre that can sometimes feel a little “copy-paste,” Ella changes that outlook by writing songs that are meaningful and wholehearted, while all along she’s just being herself.

The album has 18 tracks, which sounds like a lot, but they are all different vibes. The overall standard hit is definitely “Choosin Texas.” It literally went number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks straight this year, which is insane for a newer artist. It’s that perfect mix of a song you can blast in your car but also dance to at a bar. Other fans are already obsessed with “Be her” and “Dandelion.”

What’s really cool is that the industry is finally giving her the credit she deserves. At the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, just a few weeks ago, she won Best New Country Artist. Her speech was so sweet, she looked totally shocked to be sitting near people like Taylor Swift. It made her feel more relatable, like she’s just a normal girl who happened to write a massive hit.

But the biggest reason people are gravitating toward her is how authentic she is. In a recent interview with SiriusXM, Ella talked about how the name Dandilion came from a random conversation with her hairstylist. She learned that Dandelion tea is used to “detox,” and she felt like this album was her way of detoxing from her early twenties and all the drama that comes with growing up. She said that if you listen to the record, you don’t even have to meet her to know exactly who she is.

That’s what makes her a “real” country artist, while separating her from the rest of the current country artists. She sings about her actual life and experiences, her mistakes, and her Alabama roots. She even partnered with Miranda Lambert on one of her songs in her new album to bring the old country into her own singles.

If you’ve been anywhere on TikTok lately, you already know that Ella Langley is basically the star of the show.
