It’s also the association you have with that movie\u201a like when you were living at home\u201a watching it with your family\u201a a simpler\u201a clearer time\u201a whatever it is\u2024 It’s like you’re not just about to rewatch the movie. You’re also about to recreate a version of yourself who was watching that movie, too. You’re also about to re-create a version of yourself who was watching that movie\u201a too\u2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes\u201a a movie just depends on how you’re feeling\u2024 If you’re feeling overwhelmed, the last thing you want to do is immerse yourself in something heavy and emotional. You want something that feels easy and familiar\u2024 Something you don’t have to fully pay attention to\u201a but still enjoy\u2024 It’s almost like background comfort\u2024 You will also be at ease with the fact that you don’t have to scroll for an hour or make a decision about what to watch; you just want to press play.

And honestly\u201a especially in college\u201a life is a bit of a mess\u201a and your schedule changes\u201a and your plans change\u2024 So going back to the same movie can feel like one small thing that stays the same\u2024 It’s consistent in a way that nothing else really is\u2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n
