Now that it’s officially October, it’s time to start planning your Halloween costumes. While some people plan months, if you still need a costume, some iconic moments from this year could make great ones. From popular TV shows to online memes, there are an endless number of trends from 2026. So, let’s see which one of these events could be your costume this year!

- Off Campus
The Prime Video Show Off Campus took over everyone’s lives when it premiered in May. If you’re still just as obsessed with the show as you were then, why not make it your Halloween costume? There are plenty of easy costumes to choose from, since one episode includes a Halloween party. You can even make your own costume from one of the characters’ iconic looks in the show. From Allie’s jaw-dropping Jennifer Lopez-inspired costume to Hannah’s Karaoke look, the iconic costume options are endless. For a couples look, you can copy Hannah and Garrett’s coordinating costume from the Halloween party: a magician and a bunny. To make matters even easier, Spirit Halloween is selling some of these costumes, so you won’t have to go rummaging through your closet to recreate these viral looks.

- QVC Wig Lady
Hairpiece designer and vendor, Toni Brattin, also known as the “QVC wig lady”, went viral in August after a hilarious live television slip-up. She was presenting a hairpiece on QVC and wanted to describe it as a “blowout” but accidentally said a nonprofessional word. She froze with her back to the camera and broke out in laughter, which the internet clipped, making it the viral moment that it is. This costume idea is super simple and an easy way to hide your face without a mask on Halloween. Just throw on a short gray wig and a blue dress with a zipper in the back, and you’ve got your costume. Don’t forget to turn your back to the camera for pictures to recreate the hysterical viral moment.

- Olivia Rodrigo and her ballerinas in the Stupid Song music video
If you’ve got a friend group looking for a costume and love Olivia Rodrigo, I have the perfect one for you. Olivia Rodrigo’s Stupid Song music video dropped with some iconic looks to recreate. One in particular that’s easy to put together is the moment when Olivia is wearing a hoodie with all of her ballerinas behind her. For Olivia, you just need any oversized navy hoodie, a white mini skirt, and knee-high black boots. Each ballerina can also personalize their own look with different tops and accessories, but of course still having the matching tutus. Now all you’ll have to agree on is which friend gets to be comfy in a hoodie all Halloween night.

- Adults
Another group costume idea that works for four friends is none other than the iconic friend group from Adults. This crew has some memorable looks that people have already been recreating on social media. Two of my favorite looks from still shots are when Billie, Paul Baker, Issa, and Anton are all wearing matching “Vote 4 Paul Baker” shirts, and also when they’re all in crop tops. For the first look, just grab any white tees and write “Vote 4 Paul Baker” on them in red and blue, then pair it with a pair of black pants (and maybe even a clipboard for Billie). As simple as that costume is, the next one is even easier. For the next look, all you need is a crop top and sweatpants for each person. You can most likely find these pieces in your closet, so it’s perfect for a last-minute, low-cost idea.

- Nikki from Obsession
While most people will likely be wearing Nikki’s red tiger print top from Obsession for Halloween, I have an even better costume that will make you stand out from the rest. An iconic, unsettling scene from the horror film that went viral all over TikTok and Instagram and became known as the “freaky Nikki smile.” In the scene, she wears a slouchy, off-the-shoulder cream sweater. It’s such an easy look to recreate for a costume, and the actual top that Nikki wore is from Princess Polly if you want to wear the exact one. So, if you want a scary yet casual costume, just get a cream sweater and wear a disturbing smile all night long, and you’ve got one.
