Dancing with the Stars – One Hit Wonders Night

Abigail Neber · September 30, 2025

Throwback hits, fresh dance styles, not-so shocking eliminations, and some scores that definitely sparked debate—everything you need to know from week two.

Opening Number

The Troupe has been doing exceptionally well over the past two episodes, filling in the time between dances and also with the opening numbers.

Week two was all about one-hit wonders, so it was only fitting that the troupe danced to one themselves live from Hollywood.

“Gonna  Make  You  Sweat  (Everybody dance now) ”  by  C+C  Music factory, choreographed by Emma Slater.

Week Two Songs and Scores

Carrie Ann Inaba
Derek Hough
Bruno Tonioli

Scores will be shown in order of the judges above

Alix Earl and Val Chmerkovskiy

Dancing a Jive to Mambo No. 5 by Lou Bega

Scores: 7, 7, 7

My Take: Alix Earl put on an incredible performance. She showcased her go-to clubbing move, the “Baby Freeze.” This showed her crazy personality and the live audience and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov

Dancing a Cha Cha to The Rhythm Of the Night By Corona

Scores: 7, 6, 6

My Take: Besides the obvious mess up at the end of her dance, I think the cha cha was more her speed for the level of energy she brings to the dance floor. I also love that even after the mess up she was proud of how she performed and had a smile on her face.

Andy Richter and Emma Slater

Dancing a Tango to “Raining Men” by The Weather Girls

Scores: 6, 5, 5

My Take: I think his stage presence was really enjoyable this week. Andy did better with a fast dance, but I agree with the judges that he needs to work on staying in frame.

Lauren Jauregui and Brandon Armstrong

Danced a Foxtrot to “Lovefool” by The Cardigans.

Scores: 7, 7, 7

My Take: While Lauren isn’t, to my knowledge, a fan favorite, I think she danced beautifully in this dance, and she deserved the scores she got. I’m excited to see her grow more throughout this season.

Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa

Dancing a Jive to “Maniac” by Michael Sembello

Scores: 8, 7, 7

My Take: Wow. The athletic ability of this woman amazes me each time she sets foot onto the dance floor. I think the scores she received tonight were much more accurate to her ability and her efforts.

Corey Feldman and Jenna Johnson

Dancing a Cha Cha to “Baby Got Back” by Sir-Mix-A-Lot

Scores: 5, 5, 5

My Take: Corey said last week that his scoliosis makes it harder for him to stay in frame and to have good posture, but he wasn’t any better this week.

Jen Afleck and Jan Ravnik

Dancing a Quickstep to “Take On Me” by A-ha

Scores: 8, 7, 7

My Take: For some reason, I feel like everyone was doing better with faster songs than slower, big improvement from Jen. It was really cool to see her dance to one of the songs she got famous for on TikTok. The duo wasn’t doing as many lifts and were able to show off Jen’s ability more.

Robert Irwin and Whitney Carson

Dancing a Tango to “Move Your Feet” by Junior Senior

Scores: 8, 7, 7

My Take: I am so shocked by how well Robert Irwin is doing, and its only week two. Robert and Whitney have such great chemistry and have been dancing so well. I am so excited to see them next week and I think that they will go very far with all the skill that Robert possesses.

Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten

Dancing a Jive to “Hey Mickey” by Toni Basil

Scores: 7, 7, 7

My Take: Elaine has been so surprising this season! I think that she has improved, and she will also go further than I originally expected.

Baron Davis and Britt Stewart

Dancing a samba to “Return of the Mack” by Mack Morrison

Scores: 6, 6, 6

My Take: Baron somehow got worse this week, which is not the norm for this show. The dance was not very impressive and at time was hard to watch out of bordom.

Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas

Dancing a cha cha to “Play That Funky Music” by Wild Cherry

Scores: 7, 7, 8

My Take: Wow. Just wow. She ate that up and I will be re-watching that for the rest of the week. No notes.

Hilaria Baldwin & Gleb Savchenko

Dancing a Tango to “What is Love” by Haddaway

Scores: 7, 7, 7

My Take: I was not very impressed last week, i think she did a lot better this week and she looked very elegant. but still she is not my favorite.

Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach

Dancing a Samba to “Macarena” by Los de Río

Scores: 7, 6, 7

My Take: Dylan started well but slowly lost it. I think he has a really hard time going to the rhythm of music and also a hard time counting steps.

Scott Hoying & Rylee Arnold

Dancing a Cha Cha to “Blue” by Eiffel 65

Scores: 6, 6, 6

My Take: I love him, but I know he messed up his arms and had a poor frame.

WHO WENT HOME – Double Elimination

Baron Davis went home which i originally thought he would go farther than the first elimination.
But after this week’s dance i wasn’t surprised

Corey Feldman also went home, which was not surprising because if there was an elimination for last week i would’ve thought he would have gone home then.

What Does This Mean For Next Week?

Next week is TikTok week, and I think Andy will go home. I think Whitney and Robert will be fighting for the top spot for a while this season

Here where the final rankings of this week, after the scores were combined from the past two weeks:

Rank (total points)Couple
