CORTLAND, NY— The 2025 NFL Draft is set to commence Thursday, April 24, outside the iconic Lambeau Field, marking the first time the event will be held in Green Bay.

The three-day spectacle will feature 257 selections across seven rounds, concluding Saturday, April 26.
The Tennessee Titans hold the No. 1 overall pick and are widely expected to select Miami quarterback Cam Ward. Ward has been a standout performer, leading to speculation that he could be the top selection.
Ward finished his final season in collegecompleting 67.2% of his passes for 4,313 passing yards and 43 total touchdowns while leading a high-powered Miami offense to a 10-2 overall record.
Another quarterback drawing significant attention is Shedeur Sanders from Colorado. Who is the son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, who also happens to be the coach of Colorado.
Despite a challenging 4-8 season, Sanders showcased impressive stats, completing 71.8% of his passes for 7,364 yards and 64 touchdowns over his collegiate career. His leadership and poise under pressure have made him a potential first-round pick, with teams like the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns reportedly interested.
The draft class boasts a wealth of defensive talent, headlined by Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter. Carter’s athleticism and versatility have drawn comparisons to NFL star Micah Parsons, making him a top prospect.
Colorado’s Travis Hunter, a two-way player excelling at both cornerback and wide receiver, is also projected to be a high first-round selection.
Hunter, the most recent winner of the Heisman trophy, which is given to the most outstanding player in college football. Has recently stated that he will “quit football” if he isnt given the opportunity to play both offense and defense in the NFL.
Other notable prospects include Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, praised for his balance and explosiveness.
Jeanty is coming off a historic season where he totaled 2,061 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns, leading Boise State to the college football playoff, where they met their demise against Penn State.
A defensive tackle from Michigan, Mason Graham, known for his strength and technique, is also expected to be drafted on the first day to boost the run defense of a lucky team.
Alabama continues its tradition of producing NFL-ready talent, with offensive lineman Tyler Booker, linebacker Jihaad Campbell, and quarterback Jalen Milroe among those invited to the draft. Booker is projected as a mid-to-late first-round pick, while Campbell’s strong combine performance could see him selected in the top 10.
Milroe’s draft stock is more uncertain, but teams like Pittsburgh and Cleveland have shown interest. Milroe is an exceptional athlete who scouts say has a “sneaky” good arm.
In total, 17 prospects are confirmed to attend the draft in person, including top names like Cam Ward and Travis Hunter.
The event promises to be a memorable occasion for both the players and the city of Green Bay, which has embraced its role as host with enthusiasm.
Last year’s draft saw a record 775,000 fans in attendance, as Detroit hosted.
