MMA prospect Mason Lewis fought on the biggest stage of his life two weeks ago.
Lewis, who is a decorated wrestler turned MMA fighter fought in the Cage Fury Fighting Championship 140.
Lewis has an amateur record of 5-3 and is looking to go pro in the near future.
March 14, Lewis fought on one of the largest MMA promotions of the northeast, the CFFC. His opponent was Juwan Gonzalez, a 3-1 amateur fighter.
Lewis was coming into the fight feeling calm. “It’s a big deal, but I also don’t really stress it too much just because I’ve been on some of the highest stages before in terms of wrestling and whatnot” said Lewis.
Previously, Mason had been a Senior level world team trials qualifier in Greco Roman wrestling, 2x Senior level all American in Greco Roman wrestling, multiple time national all American in Freestyle and Greco, 5-3 in MMA, 135lb and 145lb MMA title champion, and a NY state MMA champion.
“This kind of makes or breaks whether or not a promotion wants to build me up, you know, like a promotion definitely looks at the tickets you can sell, how explosive you are in terms of your fitting and how entertaining you are towards the crowd and in your fights.” said Lewis

Mason has been known to have exciting fights and pull feats never seen before in fighting; such as wearing the judge’s Luis Vuitton sunglasses (seen above) after his dominant performance against Aaron Klein, to tickling Tim Fargo’s feet to escape a reverse triangle choke. Lewis is an entertaining fighter and he never disappoints.
During the fight, Lewis did not get the results he had hoped for, however he is a resilient fighter and human and is going to come back stronger than ever.
