Lauren Kate Costanzo, passed away at home surrounded by her family on April 16, 2024 after a year and a half long battle with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). Lauren was studying to become an ESL teacher at SUNY Cortland when she was diagnosed. She was also a proud member of the Sigma Delta Tau sorority.
On May 1st The Sigma Delta Tau Sorority Invites the community to celebrate Laurens life on the front lawn of 55 Tompkins Street. All proceeds from the items being sold will be given to the Costanzo family.
At 2:00 pm everybody will join together to celebrate Lauren. Lauren was a light of kindness and sweetness, her presence was a ray of warmth in the lives of all who knew her. With a heart overflowing with compassion, she touched the lives of everyone she encountered, leaving behind a trail of smiles and cherished memories. Whether it was a comforting word, a helping hand, or simply her infectious laughter, Lauren had a way of brightening even the darkest of days. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call her friend, family, or even acquaintance. Though she may no longer be with us, her spirit of love and generosity will forever be with us.
