The event was organized by the Student Alumni Association (SAA), in collaboration with The Cortland Fund and Alumni Engagement, and is known as “We Heart Cortland Week.” Students, alumni, and friends are invited to take part in a variety of events that celebrate the spirit of SUNY Cortland as part of this event, which is meant to recognize our alma mater and the community that it produces.
The Student Alumni Association (SAA) it plays a significant part in the planning and execution of “We Heart Cortland Week.” In order to guarantee the success of the event, the Student Association of America (SAA), which is an essential component of the Student Government Association (SGA), works closely with Alumni Engagement and The Cortland Fund.
Activities and Opportunities
Students at SUNY Cortland are invited to visit designated campus tables throughout the week to express their appreciation for different components of the university system. Participants are encouraged to show their love for many aspects of campus life because each day is devoted to a different subject. All aspects of the SUNY Cortland experience are given the honor they deserve, including the appreciation of the physical campus itself, the acknowledgment of the efforts of teachers and staff, the celebration of academic programs, the recognition of extracurricular activity, and the reminiscence of treasured experiences.
“We Heart Cortland Week” includes an exciting picture contest held on social media platforms. The students and alumni of SUNY Cortland are urged to express their affection for the university by sharing images and tales on the internet, tagging the appropriate accounts, and using the hashtag #WeHeartCortland. This interactive component of the event makes it possible for more people to participate and acts as a digital archive for memories and feelings shared by attendees.
During “We Heart Cortland Week,” there are several opportunities available for anybody who are interested in getting involved with Student Alumni Association (SAA) or learning more about the issues that it is working on. Individuals are strongly urged to get in touch with the club advisor, Kayla Sewer, whether they are interested in getting information about joining or to learn more about the club itself.

A collaborative narrative that acknowledges the past, celebrates the present, and welcomes the future of our valued academic community is created when people join to convey their passion for SUNY Cortland.
