Now that we are about to hit the midway point of a fantastic NFL start, let’s see who proved themselves early.
5. Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens have gotten off to a good start. All-Pro quarterback Lamar Jackson has been getting the job done. This year they have a legit chance of making it to the Super Bowl as long as they stay healthy. Also, Mark Andrews is a huge help for Lamar Jackson to pass the ball too. Although their key running back J.K Dobbins is out for the remainder of the season, they have added key pieces during the off-season including Odell Beckham who will be a number one target for Lamar Jackson and will able to spread the defense to take attention off Mark Andrews. So far the Baltimore Ravens are off to a 6-2 start with big wins over the Cincinnati Bengals and the Detroit Lions.
4. San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers always produce good talent. Their offense is phenomenal. It starts off with quarterback Brock Purdy. This is his first year starting and he wants to keep showing people that he can be a top quarterback in today’s NFL. Also, the 49ers have key offensive players including Christian McCaffrey, Debo Samuel, and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. With that offensive, they have been unstoppable this season. Also, with the defense they have, there is no reason why this cannot be the year they play in February for the Super Bowl. With getting to the NFC championship game with the same team last year they look forward to making it back, but also holding the Lombardi trophy. They are currently 5-3 heading into the midway mark of the season.
3. Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins have become one of the teams that people do not want to face this year. Week in and week out Miami have been showing that they belong to be one of the teams that should win the Super Bowl. Superstar Tyreek Hill also has been off to a good start. If he keeps playing at this level he is on track to have over 2,000 receiving yards. The Miami Dolphins have a 6-2 record so far through the start of the NFL season and hopefully, that can make a post-season run and shock the world.
2. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are the reigning NFC Conference Champions. Last year in the Super Bowl they lost in a 38-35 thriller to the Kansas City Chiefs. To start the season, they have been very hard to beat. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has been playing fantastic to start. While getting his wide receiver core A.J Brown and Devonta Smith the Eagles are starting the season strong and showing no signs of slowing down. They are currently 7-1 and plan on taking full control of the NFC East and winning the division for the second straight year.
1. Kansas City Chiefs
Head Coach Andy Reid has this team right where they left off. Although they took a tough loss in week 1 to the Detroit Lions, they had won 6 straight before losing to the Denver Broncos on October 29th. The superstar duo that they have with tight end Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes show no signs of slowing down, as they are on their journey to try to win back-and-back championships.
