As the NBA season is about to Tip Off, who are the five best teams?
5. Los Angeles Lakers
As bad as things looked for the Los Angeles Lakers last season, they were able to turn things around. LA retained all the key players that had taken them on their historical run in the playoffs last season, leaving them with a chance to get back there if all goes well. Plus, with the Lakers having superstars Anthony Davis and Lebron James, we have to include them in the top 5.
4. Boston Celtics
Year in and out Celtic superstars Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum always get their team on a deep playoff run. With the Celtics trading for Kristaps Porzingis from the Washington Wizards this off-season, they’re that much more of a contender. Also, Boston acquired Jrue Holiday, who is going to be a key piece to their season this year. The Celtics should finish in the top 2 in the Eastern Conference.
3. Phoenix Suns
This offseason, the Phoenix Suns had an interesting off-season. They fired head coach Monty Willams and brought in defensive-minded coach Frank Vogel who previously coached Lebron James and company to the finals back in 2020. They also traded Deandre Ayton and Chris Paul. They went all in and traded for All-Star Bradley Beal to pair up with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. It should interesting to see how all three jell together with only one basketball on the court. Come June, though, they should be playing for an NBA championship.
2. Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets are the reigning NBA champions. They are going to come out and prove to everyone that they can go back-to-back and win another championship. With bringing back all of their key pieces, they are definitely going to be a dangerous team in the West. The chemistry of both Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray is just fantastic. The team is a complete one and the way they play together is spectacular. They are definitely a top 2 team in the Western Conference.
1. Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks had the best offseason. They gave Giannis Antetokounmpo all the support that he needs to go after another NBA championship. Bringing back Khris Middleton was huge for them. After completing the blockbuster trade for All-Star Damian Lillard, Milwaukee sits at the top of the East. Lillard finally has a legit chance to go after the ring and we all know how dangerous both Antetokounmpo and Lillard can be on the court. Hopefully, they can both jell quickly and get to know each other playing styles. Hopefully, this team can stay healthy throughout the season, and they should have no problem playing in June for an NBA Championship.
