You are hereby invited to attend a free concert on Friday, March 31st. Join us to experience ARKAI, the genre-defying electroacoustic duo of violinist Jonathan Miron and cellist Philip Sheegog. Percussive artist Jeremy Smith performs along side the high energy duo for an hour of entertainment that is not to be missed. ARKAI is open to the public and appropriate for all ages.
This performance is presented by the SUNY Cortland Campus Artist and Lecture Series (CALS) and will take place at 8 p.m. on March 31st in Old Main’s Brown Auditorium. ARKAI creates artistic programs that connect and uplift communities. ARKAI will be the first of two CALS presentations this Spring.
Tickets will be available at the door but can also be picked up ahead of time at the SUNY Cortland Campus Activities Office, Corey Union, Room 406 during business hours (M-F, 8:30 am to 4 pm). Tickets can be reserved by calling 607-753-5574.
The next CALS presentation will be Around the World in 90 Minutes, a multi-media presentation by American naturalist Marty Essen. This high-energy show/lecture features interesting facts, humorous stories, and the best of the thousands of photos Essen took while traveling the world. One part theater, one part slide show, and one part comedy, the presentation is sure to entertain. This free event will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19th in Old Main’s Brown Auditorium and is once again open to the public and appropriate for all ages.
