Winter Activities For Cortland Students

Does the cold weather have you feeling down and unsure of what to do for fun in these freezing temperatures? Don’t worry, there are many fun things to do in Cortland during this time! Follow this guide on how to keep yourself occupied and have fun at the same time during this winter!

Go Skiing or Snowboarding

If you love physical activities and spending your winters skiing or snowboarding, a mountain resort awaits you! Greek Peak is a mountain resort that is less than ten miles away from campus, and only a fifteen minute drive.

Snow Tubing

But of course, Greek peak mountain resort offers more activities. Along with skiing and snowboarding, you can also spend your time snow tubing at this resort. This activity costs a fee of $35 per person for a fun filled day!

Movie Night

If you’re someone who prefers to stay inside and keep warm during the winter, this is a perfect idea for you! You can either watch a movie in the comfort of your own home, or choose to visit the local movie theater, Crown City Cinemas. There’s no better way to spend a winter night then bundled up with popcorn!

Get Hot Chocolate

There’s nothing better than sipping on hot chocolate during a cold winter night. Head down to your local coffee shop, such as Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks, for a tasty cup of hot chocolate that will also keep you warm!

Build a snowman

If you love to play in the snow, this is the activity for you! Grab a couple of friends and build a snowman together. It is a perfect way to take advantage of the snow while spending time with friends.
