Beak and Skiff Apple Orchards
The Orchard opened in 1911 and has only made more improvements to this day. It is a family-friendly place, offering everything from a tasting room and tavern to a hay ride. It is a greeting scene to enjoy wine tastings with friends and family. They also offer a hay ride, and a kid’s tree house, giving not only adults but also children an opportunity to enjoy their time. There is also a bakery, apple barn, and general store located on the site. Selling baked goods, souvenirs, and all different beverages from ciders to coffee. Beak and Skiff is a great trip to make to really enjoy the fall season in upstate New York.
Greek Peak Mountain Resort
Greek Peak Mountain Resort is an overall great trip to make in any season, but the fall scenery makes it that much better. The mountain coaster is a fun ride and allows you to enjoy the outdoors. Open to anyone over the age of 3, it is another great option to enjoy with friends or family. During the Halloween season, they also offer a “Haunted Coaster”, which is the same idea as the mountain coaster but with a more scary approach. Also following the Halloween theme, there is a Zombie Zipline, also seasonal to the fall. It is a guided tour that lasts a little over an hour and is a thrilling experience throughout the woods. Greek Peak is definitely a place to visit in the fall season, whether it is just to enjoy the outdoors or get into the Halloween spirit.
