Welcome to the Crystallize Review: A Journal of Creative Writing at SUNY Cortland
Crystallize Review is an online publication of distinctive creative writing by students at SUNY Cortland. It was founded in 2015 by Professor Vicki Boynton with the aim of showcasing outstanding writing by Professional Writing students at Cortland.
Beginning in 2018, Crystallize re-emerged as a journal of distinctive creative writing, featuring student poets, fiction writers, and non-fiction writers. Our goal is to showcase some of the best student writing at Cortland and provide a platform for these emerging voices to reach a wider audience.
Submissions come via SUNY Cortland’s College Outstanding Writing Awards and our annual Distinguished Voices Writing Contests, judged by Cortland’s prominent visiting writers. Previous Guest Judges include Chen Chen, Christine Kitano, and Elissa Washuta.
